Basic Policy Concerning Personal Information Protection

Wacom Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) complies with applicable laws concerning personal information protection based on the recognition that it is our social responsibility as an enterprise to accurately and safely handle such information as customer names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses (hereinafter referred to as personal information), which enables the identification of specific individuals and corporations. Furthermore, we promise to protect and respect the customer personal information in our possession by performing the following undertakings.

1. Compliance with Personal Information Protection-related Laws
   The Company handles personal information in compliance with related laws such as the Personal Information Protection Law, etc.
2. Personal Information Handling System
   To ensure that personal information is handled appropriately in accordance with strict security measures, staff in charge of personal information are appointed in each department that handles personal information.
3. Acquisition of Personal Information
   On occasions when the Company acquires personal information, we obtain the necessary information from our customers after first making clear the purpose of use.
4. Use of Personal Information
   In principle, the Company uses personal information in order to provide information on the products and services of the Company and its partners that we consider may be of benefit to our customers. In the event that the Company wishes to use the personal information in its possession for other purposes, we clarify our intent to our customers.
5. Appropriate use of Personal Information
   The Company stores personal information responsibly and appropriately by conducting security measures to ensure that loss, destruction, falsification or leakage of such information does not occur and to prevent unauthorized access to such information.
6. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
   Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties The Company does not provide personal information to third parties except in cases in which we have obtained the customer's prior permission or in cases where the law permits such provision. Moreover, in those cases where we do provide personal information, we require the receiving party to appropriately manage the information and to sign a contract to that effect.
7. Disclosure, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
   The Company respects its customers' rights with respect to their own personal information. In cases where customers wish to disclose, correct or delete their own personal information, we respond appropriately to requests made by customers themselves via our specified reception windows.
8. Reappraisal of Basic Policy
   This basic policy is subject to review and improvement in accordance with changes in applicable laws and regulations, etc. or with changes in the Company's personal information protection conditions made in order to comply with related laws and regulations, etc.
